5 Easy Steps for Small Businesses to Set Up Their Google Analytics

Step 1: Create your account
To begin, create your Google Analytics account by going to google.com/analytics and follow the instructions. It will ask you to either create a new account or use an active Google account to link to your analytics dashboard. Input your data sharing preferences and your business details, including the name of your business and website URL.
Step 2: Add the analytics tracking code to your site
After setting up your account, you will receive a tracking code that is unique only to your website for collecting data. You can find the Goals dashboard by visiting Admin in the bottom left corner of the home page. If you don’t already have an account, visit search.google.com to register, then visit Property Settings on Google Analytics to find the Search Console options which will link the two together.
